New Life Community Church, 866 Route 68, New Brighton, PA. 15066.
WHO WE ARE
CONFORMED, COMMADMENT, COMMISSION
CONFORMED The plan of God for the whole Church is to conform (yield, submit, become-like) us to the character of His Son, and to sanctify (set apart) us from our sin. “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me” (Luke 9:23).
“For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, in order that He might be the firstborn among many brothers” (Romans 8:29).
COMMANDMENT The inseparable commandments given to the church are to love God with everything and to love our neighbor as ourselves. We are identifiable as Jesus’ disciples because of our love for one another. “Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets” (Matthew 22:36-40)
COMMISSION Our goal is to own God’s promise of salvation, and live a life testifying to His love for this world. “Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20).
