1. The Scriptures
We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and the New Testament as verbally inspired by God, His revelation to man, inerrant in the original writings, and therefore the final and supreme authority in faith and life (Jn 16:12, 13; II Tim3:16, 17; II Ptr 1:20, 21).
2. The Godhead
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Mt 28:19; Mk 12:29; Jn 1:14;Acts 5: 3, 4; II Cor 13:14; Heb 1:1-3).
3. The Total Depravity of Man
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; and, that man is totally depraved, and, of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition (Gen 1:26, 27; Rom 3:22, 23; 5:12; Eph 2:1-3, 12).
4. The Person and Work of Christ
a. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man (Jn 1:1, 2, 14; Lk 1:35).
b. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice (Rom 3:24, 25; I Ptr 2:24; Eph 1:7; I Ptr 1:3-5; 18, 19; II Cor5:21).
c. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ arose bodily from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and in His present life there He is fulfilling His high priestly ministry of intercession and advocacy (I Cor 15:12-19; Acts 1:9, 10;Heb 9:24, 7:25; Rom 8:34; I Jn 2:1, 2).
d. We believe in the personal, imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ (I Thess 4:13-18; I Cor 15:51-54; Titus 2:11-14).
5. The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
a. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment (Jn 16:8-11).
b. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the supernatural agent in regeneration, in baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, and in dwelling and sealing them (Jn 3:6; I Cor 6:19; 12:12-14; Eph 1:13, 14; 4:30).
c. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Divine Teacher who guides believers into all truth and that it is the privilege and the duty of all the saved to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Jn 16:13; Eph 5:18).
We believe that salvation is the gift of God, brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins (Eph 2:8-10; Jn 1:12; Eph 1:7; I Ptr1:18, 19).
7. The Eternal State
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved unto eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment (Mt 25:46; Jn 5:28, 29; 11:25, 26; Rev 20:5-15).
